Camp Policies
Cancellations and Refunds:
All cancellations are subject to a non-refundable processing fee of $25. If you cancel less than 3 weeks prior to the start date of the camp, you will only receive a refund if we are able to fill your spot.
There is no prorating of fees for missed classes or for late enrollments. Failure to attend does not constitute a refund or cancellation and returned transactions are subject to a $25.00 returned transaction fee.

Location:
The Life Ki-do Academy is located at 3636 Bee Cave Rd #212, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church is located at 3525 Bee Caves Rd, and the West Austin Youth Association (WAYA) is located at 1314 Exposition Blvd. We will send a reminder email the week before camp with instructions about where to enter the facility to check-in for camp.
Ages:
Life Ki-do® camps are for Kindergarten/1st grade children, ages 5-7 (Power Ninja) and 1st-6th grade children, ages 6-12 (Samurai). Beginner through advanced students are welcome. The Special Advanced Camp is for students in the Samurai Int, Samurai Adv, and Teen/Adv classes.
When to Arrive:
Campers should arrive promptly at their specific camp start time so that camp can begin on time. Please no early arrivals as the instructors and staff members will be in meetings and preparing for the camp day prior to start time.
Pick Up/Drop Off:
For your child’s safety, you will be required to escort your child into the building and sign in and out each day. Your child will be released only to those authorized by you. Photo identification may be required. Camp will meet promptly at 9am or 10am, depending on your child’s specific camp start time. Instructors are in meetings and setting up prior to camp start times so please do not enter camp area before 8:55am or 9:55am. Please NO EARLY DROP-OFFS or LATE PICK-UPS. Camp pick up is at 12noon for Power Ninja and Samurai campers; for Advanced campers, pick-up is at 1:00pm. Late pick up is $1 per minute.
What to Wear:
Campers should wear comfortable clothes that will allow them to move freely and fully engage in all activities – loose comfortable play clothes for indoor/outdoor use are best. Wearing tennis shoes is recommended since there will be brief outside playtime at the Samurai camps at WAYA and Shepherd of the Hills Church. Each camper will receive a Life Ki-do t-shirt as part of tuition.
What to Bring:
Please send your child with a “full breakfast belly” to have the most energy for their karate day. As each child’s eating habits vary, please send enough healthy snacks and labeled juice boxes or water for the appropriate amount of time for your child’s appetite. There will be a mid-morning snack break.
Minimum Class Enrollment:
In the event that a minimum number of students have enrolled, sessions may be cancelled, combined or postponed.
Substitution:
Life Ki-do reserves the right to substitute or replace teachers.
Medications:
I understand that if my child needs to take any prescription medication, a parent/guardian must personally administer such medication.
